At last the gloom and chill of the inversion layer has lifted and we can
all enjoy the sunshine and clear skies again albeit with a frosty start
to the day.
The past month has again seen only moderate turnover with Home enquiry
mainly associated with ‘First Home Buyers’ in the under $300,000
market.
Section sales have continued at The Dunes where a flurry of building
activity is taking place, with further homes to come.
Lowburn terrace has seen one sale with another of the elevated 3000m²sites
under contract. Again new homes are expected to be built there over the
next 12 months.
Bannockburn is also seeing its biggest building surge for sometime with
8 homes either planned or in various stages of construction.
In Town, the new Paper Plus is well under way, as is the new Subway building.
Next to Nichol's Garden Centre, a new Hunting & Fishing base is to
be constructed.
Construction on the new Medical Centre is due to begin soon.
These developments are positive but combined they will have a detrimental
effect on The Mall.
An announcement on the radio this morning that some long term interest
rates have dropped, when they were expected to rise, is a bonus for the
Real Estate Market.
